Tap the name of the application on the list to see a detailed breakdown of how much foreground and background data the app has used. Tap the check box next to "Restrict background data" if you find that the app you have selected is using a lot of background data. With this option enabled, the application will only use data if you open and use it and not while it is in the background. Tap the "Applications" button on your Android device and then tap the "Downloaded Applications" button to see a list of the recently installed apps.
